I saw a 2009 playoff game between the Penguins and the Capitals. This was a great series between two of the best young hockey players in Alexander Oveckin and Sidney Crosby. The series went 7 games and was eventually won by the Penguins but that night in the Consol Energy Center was one of the loudest and most electrifying games I have ever been too in any sports. The playmaking ability of these two and the hatred between the two teams made for can’t miss hockey action. I have always loved the penguins because they are my favorite animal but seeing Sid the Kid play was so much fun. I remember vaguely the days of Jagr and Lemieux but this team with Maltin and Crosby were almost up to their level.
