If you’re with the family, especially with youngsters, then look no further than M&Ds Theme Park. It’s quality! The rides themselves have a tendency to break down, but the real treats are elsewhere anyway: there’s crazy golf (always a happy one for families and friends!), an ice rink and the “Amazonian Experience” which is pretty cool. Check sites like Groupon for deals to make things a bit cheaper.

Motherwell is home to M&D’s Scotland Theme Park – whilst it is no Alton Towers, M&D’s is still a cracking day out with rides to suit all age groups – so if you are a bit of an adrenaline junkie and 90 minutes at Fir Park didn’t sate you, you know where to head! Also in the Park is ‘Amazonia’ – bringing the wild rainforest to Motherwell! There are plenty of animals to see here including monkeys and an enormous Burmese python! You can even pay just £1 more for a handling session and get to grips with some creepy crawlies!
