How do I get to Murrayfield?

If you’re driving, parking is pretty scarce around the venue. The good news is that for international games (where spaces are virtually impossible to come by) there will be park and ride schemes available. These vary with each game, but the information will be online well in advance.

Haymarket station is about a mile from the venue, but very congested on matchdays. Waverley station is the main entry into Edinburgh city centre, and is only about two miles away. Both are easily walkable.

Driving up to Murrayfield is possible – but unless you’re lucky you will find it difficult to get a parking spot – there is a car park but this is for disabled fans only and does have to be pre-booked. There are park and ride schemes for international games though which makes everything a little easier!

Trains from all over England and Scotland will go to Edinburgh Waverly, 2 miles from Murrayfield, or Haymarket Station, 1 mile away – around a 20 minute walk, though with all the pubs along the way it may take you a little longer!

Edinburgh’s tram system runs to Roseburn which is only a short walk away. However it wasn’t designed with the thousands of people that attend international matches in mind, and it can be quite overwhelming.
