While it’s common for many pubs to say “HOME FANS ONLY” or, sometimes, declare themselves as “away friendly”, the Centenary bar near the ground has a room for each side. If you are willing to walk slightly further (circa 5 minutes) then there is the Clep bar on Clepington Road: the food is hot, tasty and cheap, while the beer is similar, if a lot colder! The Stobswell Sports Club is a few minutes’ further away, but is a more family-friendly option if that’s what you’re after.

Dundee has a tonne of bar and pubs in the city centre – and with the train station being so centrally located – you can step off the platform and step into the pub. Just outside the station is The Nether Inn as well as The Old Bank Bar, and The Counting House – both of which specialize in real ales.
There are other pubs that really have a great décor – Ticket Boo’s, which has some stunning stained-glass windows. The Capitol is also a great pub that is in a former cinema!
