I saw the great Ken Griffey Jr. play with the great Barry Larkin back in 2004. These two players were some of the great ballplayers of the 1990s. They were MVPs, All-Stars, Gold Glove Winners, and represented everything good about baseball. It was sad to see Griffey’s legacy tarnished by injury at the end of his career because he made everything seem so easy. Both of these players played very hard day in and day out. I was fortunate to see Griffey hit his 488 home run. The guy could hit with the best of them and truly made opposing pitchers afraid to pitch to him.
