Ashton Gate, Ashton Rd, Bristol BS3 2EJ, UK
Ashton Gate has had a serious makeover in the last few years, and now boasts two recently refurbished stands and a brand new, 11,000-seater stand (the Lansdown) as well! The roof of the Lansdown glitters with solar panels which are meant to power the whole stadium, British weather permitting. Combined with the clean, well-kept concourses and unanimously good views from every seat in the house, it’s a stadium well worth visiting.
Bristol is one of England’s friendliest cities, and the football stadium is no different. Voted on of the football league’s most family friendly stadiums year after year, Aston Gate offers something for everybody. With an admittedly not cheap but unique range of refreshments – including Bristol’s very own cider, the concourses are always stocked and ready to go. In an ancient English city – Ashton Gate is home to a very modern style of football, that goes down almost as well as a delicious scrumpy.
